Eläketurvakeskuselta

Eläketurvakeskus (ETK), known in English as the Finnish Centre for Pensions, is a Finnish government agency responsible for promoting pension security and informing the public about Finland’s pension system. It operates under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health and is based in Helsinki.

The agency’s core functions include providing information and guidance on pension rights and the various pension schemes, monitoring and analyzing the functioning of the pension system, and publishing statistics, analyses, and consumer-oriented materials. ETK collects and disseminates data on pension accruals, entitlements, and benefits, and it offers tools to help individuals estimate and plan their future pensions.

ETK collaborates with other public authorities, pension providers, researchers, and stakeholders to support policy development, communication, and understanding of pension matters. Its work informs decision-making for individuals, employers, and policymakers.

Outputs from ETK include statistical yearbooks, analytical reports, and explanatory materials on topics such as pension coverage, replacement rates, and the impacts of reform.
