Elektronkiire, a term originating from Finnish, translates to "electron beam." It refers to a stream of electrons moving in a vacuum. This phenomenon is fundamental to the operation of various technologies, most notably cathode ray tubes (CRTs) which were historically used in televisions and computer monitors. In a CRT, an electron gun generates and accelerates electrons, which are then focused and directed by electromagnetic fields to strike a phosphorescent screen, creating images.
