Dothrakis

The Dothraki are a nomadic horse-riding warrior people who inhabit the vast grasslands of Essos. They are known for their fearsome martial prowess, their deep connection to horses, and their unique culture centered around the Dothraki Sea, a large steppe. Dothraki society is organized into khalasars, which are essentially bands of warriors led by a Khal, the most powerful among them. Khalasars are migratory, moving with the seasons to find grazing land for their horses and often engaging in raiding and warfare against other tribes and settled peoples.

Their appearance is distinctive, often characterized by long, braided hair, bronzed skin, and a fierce demeanor. They wear practical leather armor and are skilled with the arakh, a curved sword. The Dothraki language is rich in terms related to horses, warfare, and the natural world. They worship a pantheon of gods, with the Great Stallion being a prominent deity. While often perceived as savage by outsiders, the Dothraki possess a complex social structure and a strong code of honor, though their customs can be brutal and unforgiving. They hold a deep respect for strength and courage, and conversely, show disdain for weakness. Their ultimate goal is to live a life of glory and purpose, often culminating in a final ride to the "Field of the Dead" upon their death.
