Dormaa refers to a traditional area in the Bono Region of Ghana, as well as the administrative districts that lie within it, including Dormaa East District and Dormaa West District. The Dormaa are an Akan-speaking people who form one of the principal subgroups associated with the historic Brong-Ahafo area. The traditional seat of authority is the Dormaa chieftaincy, administered by the Omanhene and the Dormaa Traditional Council.
