Datusena

Datusena was a king of the Anuradhapura Kingdom in ancient Sri Lanka. He reigned in the 5th century CE, following the reign of Aggabodhi II. Datusena's rule is often characterized by his efforts to restore order and rebuild the kingdom after a period of instability.

One of his most significant achievements was the construction of the Dambulla cave complex, a series of rock temples that still stand today and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He also initiated the renovation of several ancient reservoirs and canals, crucial for the island's agricultural economy.
