DLAs
DLAs, or Defense Logistics Agency, is a combat support agency of the United States Department of Defense. Its primary mission is to provide comprehensive logistics, readiness, and operational support to the U.S. military services and other federal agencies. DLA operates globally, managing a vast network of supply chains for a wide range of goods and services, including fuel, food, uniforms, spare parts, and medical supplies. The agency plays a crucial role in ensuring that military personnel have the resources they need to perform their duties, whether in peacetime operations or during armed conflict. DLA's activities encompass procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of materiel. It also provides technical support and services, such as repair and overhaul of equipment, and manages the disposition of surplus property. The agency is organized into several major subordinate commands, each specializing in different areas of logistics.
