Cu2SO4
Copper(I) sulfate, with the chemical formula Cu2SO4, is a less common copper sulfate than its Cu(II) counterpart. It is a white solid that is highly unstable in the presence of moisture and oxygen. When exposed to air, Cu2SO4 readily oxidizes to copper(II) sulfate, which is typically blue. This instability makes it difficult to isolate and study under ambient conditions.
The synthesis of copper(I) sulfate is usually achieved through the reduction of copper(II) sulfate. One common
