Coulombfältet

Coulombfältet, also known as the electrostatic field, describes the influence that an electric charge has on the space around it. This influence is what causes other electric charges to experience a force. The field is a vector quantity, meaning it has both magnitude and direction at every point in space. The magnitude of the Coulomb field at a specific point is proportional to the magnitude of the source charge creating the field and inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source charge. This relationship is quantified by Coulomb's Law. The direction of the field is radially outward from a positive source charge and radially inward towards a negative source charge.
