Concentracióntiempo is a neologism that blends the Catalan word concentració (concentration) with tiempo (time) to describe the relationship between concentration and time in scientific contexts. The term is not part of a formal scientific vocabulary and has limited, informal usage in multilingual discussions or educational materials, where it serves as a shorthand for the concentration–time concept.

In practice, concentracióntiempo refers to the concentration as a function of time, C(t), following an event such as a chemical release, a drug administration, or the production process. Data are obtained by serial measurements and plotted to form a concentration-time curve. Analysts extract features such as maximum concentration (Cmax), time to reach Cmax (Tmax), half-life (t1/2), and the area under the curve (AUC).

Modeling of the concentration–time profile may employ kinetic descriptions, including first-order decay (dC/dt = -kC), zero-order processes, or multi-compartment models. These models help predict how long a substance remains above a threshold and inform design, dosing, remediation, or risk assessment decisions.
