Coenocíticos
Coenocíticos refers to a life cycle stage or growth form found in certain organisms, particularly fungi and some protists. In this state, a multinucleated cytoplasm is enclosed within a single continuous cell wall or membrane, without the formation of individual cellular divisions. This means that multiple nuclei share the same cytoplasmic space, a condition known as syncytium. Organisms that exhibit this coenocitic form are often described as being coenocytes.
This growth pattern allows for rapid expansion and nutrient distribution within the organism. The absence of
The formation of a coenocyte can occur through different mechanisms. It may arise from repeated nuclear division
