Chlef
Chlef is a city in northwestern Algeria, located about 200 kilometers west of the capital, Algiers. It is the capital of the Chlef Province. The city is situated in the Chelif River valley, which is a fertile agricultural region. Historically, the area has been inhabited for centuries, with evidence of Roman settlements. The modern city developed around a French colonial administrative center.
