Centimétert

Centimétert is the accusative form of the Hungarian word centiméter. In Hungarian grammar, nouns change form according to case, and centimétert is used when the unit is the direct object of a sentence. The underlying unit remains the centimeter, not a separate concept.

A centimeter, symbol cm, is a unit of length in the metric system. It equals one hundredth of a meter: 1 cm = 0.01 m. It is a commonly used unit for measuring small distances and dimensions in everyday life and in many scientific and industrial contexts. Ten millimeters make one centimeter, and 100 centimeters make one meter.
