Canalículo is a diminutive form of the Latin word canalis, meaning "channel" or "groove." In scientific and medical contexts, it refers to a small, narrow channel or duct. In anatomy, canalículos are found in bone tissue. These are tiny channels that connect lacunae, the small cavities in bone that house osteocytes (bone cells).
