CSFadás

CSFadás is a Hungarian term that translates to "CSF flow" or "CSF circulation" in English. It refers to the movement and circulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within the central nervous system. CSF is a clear, colorless fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord, providing buoyancy and protection.

The production of CSF occurs primarily in the choroid plexuses located within the ventricles of the brain. From there, it circulates through the ventricular system and then enters the subarachnoid space, which surrounds the brain and spinal cord. This fluid plays a crucial role in the removal of metabolic waste products from the brain, acting as a shock absorber against physical trauma, and maintaining a stable chemical environment for neuronal function.

Disruptions in CSFadás can lead to various neurological conditions. For instance, an obstruction in the flow can cause an accumulation of CSF, leading to increased intracranial pressure and a condition known as hydrocephalus.
