Braniewo

Braniewo is a town located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in northern Poland. Situated on the river Pasłęka, it is the administrative seat of Braniewo County. Historically, the town was part of Royal Prussia and later East Prussia. It was founded in the 13th century and developed as a significant trade and religious center.

The town's architecture bears witness to its long history, with notable examples including the Gothic basilica of St. Catherine and the remnants of the old Teutonic Knights' castle.
