Bithur

Bithur is a town and a municipality in the Kanpur Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated on the banks of the river Ganges. Historically, Bithur holds significant religious and cultural importance, particularly in Hinduism. It is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Brahma, the creator god in the Hindu trinity.

The ruins of the old palace associated with Nana Sahib, a leader of the rebellion, can still be seen here.
