Beunos
Beunos is a genus of moths in the family Geometridae. The genus was described by Charles Oberthür in 1910. Beunos moths are found in the Afrotropical realm. Little is currently published about the specific life cycle or ecological role of Beunos species. Adult Beunos moths typically have patterned wings, which can aid in camouflage against their natural backgrounds. Their exact distribution within the Afrotropics varies by species, and further research is needed to fully map their ranges and understand their habitat preferences. Information regarding the larvae, pupae, and host plants for most Beunos species remains scarce in readily available literature. Conservation status for individual Beunos species is also not widely established, suggesting a need for more comprehensive taxonomic and ecological studies within this genus.
