Bangsamoros
The Bangsamoro are an ethnolinguistic group indigenous to the southwestern part of the Philippines, primarily the island of Mindanao and the Sulu Archipelago. They are a diverse people comprised of several distinct cultural communities, including the Maranao, Tausug, Maguindanaoan, Sama, and Yakan, among others. Historically, the Bangsamoro have a rich and complex heritage, with a strong Islamic identity that has shaped their traditions, laws, and social structures for centuries.

This aspiration led to the establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in
