Aristotelis

Aristotelis is primarily known as the Greek form of Aristotle, the ancient Greek philosopher of the Classical period. Born in Stagira in northern Greece around 384 BCE, Aristotle studied with Plato and later tutored Alexander the Great. He established the Lyceum in Athens and wrote on topics spanning logic, metaphysics, natural science, ethics, politics, and rhetoric. His writings laid the foundations for formal logic and had a lasting influence on both medieval and modern philosophy and science.

In addition to the philosopher, Aristotelis refers to a modern political entity in Greece. The Municipality
