ArchanesAsteroúsia
Archanes Asteroúsia is a municipality in the Heraklion regional unit of Crete, Greece. It is located in the southern part of the island, nestled between the Ida mountains and the Asterousia Mountains. The municipality was formed in 2011 as part of the Kallikratis reform by the merger of the former municipalities of Archanes, Nikos Kazantzakis, and Krousonas. Its administrative center is the town of Archanes.
