Specifically, if a relation R is defined on a set, it is considered antissümmeetriline if for any distinct elements a and b in the set, it is not possible for both (a, b) and (b, a) to be in R. In simpler terms, if a is related to b, then b cannot be related to a, unless a and b are the same element. In the context of matrices, an antissümmeetriline matrix, also known as a skew-symmetric matrix, is a square matrix A where its transpose A^T is equal to its negative, i.e., A^T = -A.
