Anaeroobisia

Anaeroobisia is a biological concept describing the ability of certain organisms to live, grow, or maintain metabolic activity in environments lacking molecular oxygen. The term blends elements from Greek and Latin roots to denote life without oxygen and is used to discuss states related to anaerobiosis and anaerobic life.

Organisms that exhibit anaeroobisia include strictly anaerobic bacteria, some archaea, and a subset of eukaryotic microbes.
