Aminosäurestruktur
Aminosäurestruktur refers to the chemical structure of amino acids, the fundamental building blocks of proteins. Each amino acid consists of a central carbon atom, known as the alpha-carbon, to which four groups are attached. These groups are: an amino group (-NH2), a carboxyl group (-COOH), a hydrogen atom (-H), and a side chain, also called the R-group. The R-group is what differentiates one amino acid from another.
The amino group is basic, while the carboxyl group is acidic. This amphoteric nature allows amino acids
The sequence and arrangement of these amino acids linked together by peptide bonds form the primary structure
