Amadeus

Amadeus is a Latin given name meaning "love of God." It is used as a male name, and is most famously the middle name of the Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791), a leading figure of the Classical era.

In popular culture, Amadeus refers to the stage play by Peter Shaffer (1979) and its 1984 film adaptation directed by Miloš Forman. The work portrays Mozart and his contemporary rival Antonio Salieri, and it won several Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Amadeus IT Group, S.A., is a multinational Spanish technology company that provides travel-related software and services. It operates the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS), a reservation and inventory platform used by travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and other providers.
