Ajuripatsit is a fictional ceremonial practice described in speculative literature as a form of communal governance in the imagined region of Valara. The term denotes a ritual that blends song, storytelling, and negotiation to resolve disputes, authorize leadership, and reaffirm social contracts within a community.

Origin and etymology: In Valarian lore, ajuri-patsit is a compound from fictional words meaning song and bond. The ritual is said to have arisen from a foundational treaty and is used to bind participants to agreed outcomes.

Ritual structure: The ceremony is staged during a seasonal festival and lasts several hours. Participants include a lead chanter, a chorus, a mediator, and apprentices. It combines a call-and-response chant, a drum cadence, and a narrative segment in which elders recount decisions. An oath or pledge formalizes the outcome and may inaugurate rotating offices.
