Aineenvaihduntareitejä
Aineenvaihduntareittejä, or metabolic pathways, are a series of chemical reactions occurring within a cell. These reactions are catalyzed by enzymes and lead to the transformation of one molecule into another. Metabolic pathways can be broadly categorized into two types: catabolic and anabolic. Catabolic pathways break down complex molecules into simpler ones, releasing energy in the process, such as cellular respiration breaking down glucose. Anabolic pathways, conversely, use energy to build complex molecules from simpler precursors, for instance, protein synthesis.
These pathways are interconnected and form a complex network within the organism. The regulation of these pathways
