AgnusDei
Agnus Dei is a prominent musical setting of the Agnus Dei, the final part of the Ordinary of the Roman Catholic Mass. It is traditionally sung or recited after the Sanctus and before the Communion. The text, which translates to "Lamb of God," is a prayer for mercy, peace, and deliverance, invoking Jesus Christ as the sacrificial Lamb of God.
Throughout the history of Western classical music, composers have created numerous settings of the Agnus Dei.
