Absorptiokertoimet, or absorption coefficients, are physical quantities that describe how strongly a material absorbs a particular type of radiation. Similarly, in medical imaging, tissues have varying absorption coefficients for X-rays, which allows for the differentiation of bone, muscle, and other structures.
