Aberffraw
Aberffraw is a village and community located on the southwestern coast of the island of Anglesey in North Wales. Situated at the mouth of the River Ffraw, it holds historical significance, particularly as a former royal center of the Kingdom of Gwynedd. Before the Norman conquest of Wales, Aberffraw was a prominent seat of power for Welsh princes. The remains of a motte, a type of earthwork fortification, can still be seen near the village, believed to be part of the ancient royal castle.
