ASRC

Asrc, short for Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, is an Alaska Native regional corporation formed under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in the early 1970s to manage land claims and promote the economic development of its shareholders from the North Slope region of Alaska. It is owned by Alaska Native shareholders, primarily Inupiat people, and operates as a diversified enterprise focused on sustainable development and community well-being.

Through a network of wholly owned subsidiaries and partner companies, ASRC operates in energy, government services, information technology, construction, and other sectors. Notable subsidiaries include ASRC Energy Services, which provides oilfield services, and ASRC Federal Holding Company, which oversees federal government contracting and related services. The organization pursues opportunities in both commercial markets and government programs, aiming to create shareholder value while contributing to regional economic growth.

ASRC is governed by a board of directors elected by its Alaska Native shareholders, with day-to-day operations managed by executive leadership. The corporation distributes annual dividends to shareholders and invests in education, cultural preservation, and community development initiatives. It is regarded as one of the largest Alaska Native–owned corporations and has played a significant role in the economic development of the North Slope region.
