Államelméletben refers to the theoretical study of the state in political science and philosophy. It examines the nature, origin, purpose, and legitimacy of the state as a political organization. Key concepts within államelméletben include sovereignty, which denotes the supreme power of the state; legitimacy, concerning the acceptance of the state's authority by its citizens; and the social contract, a philosophical idea suggesting that individuals implicitly agree to surrender certain freedoms in exchange for protection and order provided by the state.
