Állapotváltozásokhoz refers to processes where a substance changes from one physical state to another. These changes occur when the substance absorbs or releases energy, typically in the form of heat, leading to alterations in the arrangement and movement of its constituent particles. The most common states of matter involved are solid, liquid, and gas.

Melting, also known as fusion, is the transition from a solid to a liquid state, occurring at a specific temperature called the melting point. This process requires the absorption of heat energy to overcome the forces holding the particles in a fixed lattice structure. Conversely, freezing is the reverse process, where a liquid turns into a solid at its freezing point, releasing latent heat.

Vaporization encompasses the change from a liquid to a gas. This can occur through evaporation, which happens at the surface of a liquid at any temperature, or boiling, which takes place throughout the liquid at a specific temperature called the boiling point. Boiling also requires the absorption of heat. Condensation is the opposite of vaporization, where a gas transforms into a liquid, releasing energy.

Sublimation is a less common state change where a solid directly converts into a gas without passing through the liquid phase, such as with dry ice. Deposition is the reverse of sublimation, where a gas directly becomes a solid. These state changes are fundamental concepts in thermodynamics and chemistry, explaining many natural phenomena and industrial processes.
