Syyttäjäviranomaiset, or prosecution authorities, are a crucial part of the criminal justice system in many countries, including Finland. Their primary role is to investigate alleged crimes, decide whether to bring charges against individuals or entities, and represent the state in criminal proceedings. In Finland, the prosecution service operates under the Ministry of Justice.
