Solulimakalvojen, also known as the cytoplasm, is the gel-like substance that fills the cell and surrounds the organelles. It is primarily composed of water, salts, and organic molecules. The cytoplasm plays a crucial role in cell function by providing a medium for biochemical reactions to occur and for the transport of substances within the cell.

Within the cytoplasm, various organelles are suspended. This dynamic nature allows the cell to adapt to different conditions and perform a wide range of functions. Many metabolic processes, such as glycolysis, occur in the cytoplasm. It is also involved in cell division and the transport of materials throughout the cell. The cytoplasm is essential for maintaining the cell's integrity and enabling its life processes.
