Proportionnalité is a fundamental concept in mathematics and science that describes a relationship between two quantities where their ratio remains constant. Mathematically, two quantities, say 'a' and 'b', are proportional if their ratio a/b is constant. This constant is called the constant of proportionality. This relationship can be expressed as a = kb, where 'k' is the constant of proportionality. The graph of a proportional relationship is a straight line passing through the origin (0,0).
