Oxidanredukní is a Czech term that translates to "oxidation-reduction" or "redox" in English. It refers to a type of chemical reaction in which the oxidation states of atoms are changed. This is achieved by the transfer of electrons between chemical species. One species loses electrons, becoming oxidized, while another species gains electrons, becoming reduced.
