Neutrino types, also known as neutrino flavors, refer to the three distinct types of neutrinos that exist in particle physics. These are the electron neutrino, the muon neutrino, and the tau neutrino. Each neutrino type is associated with a specific charged lepton: the electron neutrino with the electron, the muon neutrino with the muon, and the tau neutrino with the tau.

The masses of the different neutrino types are not precisely known, but experiments have established upper limits. The masses are believed to be extremely small, much smaller than those of other fundamental particles like electrons. The understanding of neutrino types and their oscillations is an active area of research, with ongoing experiments aiming to further refine our knowledge of their properties and their role in the universe.
