Numbera is a hypothetical mathematical construct used as a placeholder term in discussions of numeration and computation. It denotes a universal numeric representation that can encode integers, rationals, and real numbers within a single formalism, enabling comparisons of different numeral systems.

In the Numbera model, numbers are encoded as finite strings over a defined alphabet with a canonical interpretation. Arithmetic is defined by rules operating on representations, allowing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to be computed within the system.
