Nemesgázokat, also known as noble gases, are a group of chemical elements that share similar properties. They are characterized by their low reactivity due to having a full outer electron shell. This stable electron configuration makes them very reluctant to form chemical bonds with other elements. The six naturally occurring noble gases are helium (He), neon (Ne), argon (Ar), krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe), and radon (Rn). Oganesson (Og) is a synthetic noble gas that has been produced in laboratories.

These elements are found in the Earth's atmosphere in very small concentrations, with argon being the most abundant. Helium is primarily sourced from natural gas deposits. Due to their inert nature, noble gases have found numerous applications. Helium is used in balloons, as a coolant for superconducting magnets in MRI machines, and in diving gas mixtures. Neon is famously used in neon signs, producing a distinctive red-orange glow when an electric current passes through it. Argon is utilized in welding, as an inert atmosphere in light bulb production, and in some fire suppression systems. Krypton and xenon have applications in high-intensity lighting, lasers, and in some types of scientific research. Radon, being radioactive, has limited uses, primarily in radiotherapy, though its radioactive nature also poses health risks.
