molekull
Molekull is a term originating from Swedish and Danish languages, literally translating to "molecule." In a scientific context, it refers to a group of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds. These atoms can be of the same element, as in an oxygen molecule (O2), or of different elements, as in a water molecule (H2O). Molecules are the smallest stable units of matter that retain the chemical properties of a particular substance. They are the fundamental building blocks of all chemical compounds and play a crucial role in virtually every aspect of chemistry and biology. The arrangement and bonding of atoms within a molecule determine its physical and chemical characteristics, such as its shape, reactivity, and boiling point. The study of molecules, their structure, properties, and reactions is known as molecular chemistry.
