mittelikviidne
Mittelikviidne refers to an asset that cannot be easily and quickly converted into cash without a significant loss in value. This is in contrast to liquid assets, such as cash in a bank account or publicly traded stocks, which can be readily sold for their market price. Examples of illiquid assets include real estate, private company stock, collectibles, and certain types of bonds. The degree of liquidity can vary. While a house might be considered illiquid, it could become more liquid if there is high demand in the local market. Conversely, an asset that is highly specialized or has a very small market of potential buyers would be considered very illiquid. When an investor needs to sell an illiquid asset, they may have to accept a lower price than they believe it is worth, or they may have to wait an extended period to find a suitable buyer. This lack of immediate convertibility to cash is a key characteristic.
