lábizom
Lábizom, also known as the gastrocnemius muscle, is a large, thick muscle located in the lower leg. It is the primary muscle responsible for plantar flexion of the foot, which is the movement of pointing the toes downward. The lábizom is a two-headed muscle, consisting of the medial and lateral heads. The medial head originates from the medial condyle of the femur and the lateral head originates from the lateral condyle of the femur. Both heads insert into the calcaneus, the heel bone. The lábizom is innervated by the tibial nerve, which is a branch of the sciatic nerve. It plays a crucial role in activities such as walking, running, and jumping. The muscle is also involved in maintaining the body's center of gravity during these activities.
