Île de la Visitation is a small island located in the Saint Lawrence River, near Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Hochelaga-Archipelago. The island is approximately 1.5 kilometers long and 0.5 kilometers wide. Historically, the island was inhabited by Indigenous peoples. In the 19th century, it became a site for a religious community, the Sisters of the Visitation. They established a convent and a school on the island.
Over time, the island's use evolved. The religious community eventually left, and the island saw various private
