Kulkevi is an old East Prussian village located in the Königsberg region, on the northeastern coast of the Masurian Lake District. Today, it is part of the Polish territory and has been since the end of World War II. The village lies about 30 kilometers east of the region's center, the city of Morąg.

In the past, Kulkevi was a peasant farming settlement. The community relied mainly on agriculture to sustain themselves. The traditional farm crops were such as rye, wheat, and potatoes. Livestock, specifically cattle and pigs, were also an integral part of the local economy.

Restrictions remain to preserve existing architectural remnants.
