Kansilevyihin is a Finnish term that translates to "plate tectonics" in English. It refers to the scientific theory that describes the large-scale motion of seven large plates and the movements of numerous smaller plates of Earth's lithosphere, which are the rigid outer part of the Earth, consisting of the crust and upper mantle.
