Interossee is not a standard anatomical term. It is most likely a misspelling or variant of interosseous or interossei, terms used to describe structures situated between bones.

In anatomy, interosseous (between bones) can refer to a fibrous membrane or to small muscles that lie between adjacent bones. The interosseous membrane between the tibia and fibula helps stabilize the lower leg and transmits load, while the interosseous membrane between the radius and ulna stabilizes the forearm and provides attachment for forearm muscles. In the hand, the interossei are a group of muscles divided into four dorsal interossei and three palmar (volar) interossei. They originate from adjacent metacarpals and insert on the bases of the proximal phalanges and on the extensor expansions.

Functionally, the interossei primarily move the fingers at the metacarpophalangeal joints. Dorsal interossei abduct digits away from the middle finger, while palmar interossei adduct digits toward the middle finger. They also contribute to flexion at the MCP joints and assist with extension of the interphalangeal joints. All the interossei muscles are innervated primarily by the deep branch of the ulnar nerve.

Etymology reflects their location: from Latin inter- meaning between and os meaning bone. The term is used in both forearm/leg anatomy (membranes) and hand anatomy (muscles), with interosseous or interossei as the standard spellings.
