Immunrendszerünk, or our immune system, is a complex network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to defend the body against foreign invaders such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. It is a vital defense mechanism that protects us from disease and infection.

Key components of the immune system include white blood cells (leukocytes), such as lymphocytes (B cells and T cells) and phagocytes. Lymphocytes are responsible for recognizing specific pathogens and producing targeted responses, while phagocytes engulf and destroy foreign invaders. Organs like the spleen, lymph nodes, and bone marrow are crucial sites for the development and function of immune cells.

When the immune system encounters a pathogen, it initiates a coordinated response to neutralize and eliminate the threat. This process can sometimes lead to inflammation, a natural response characterized by redness, swelling, heat, and pain, which helps to isolate and fight infection. A healthy immune system is essential for maintaining overall health and well-being.
