Holografiában is the Hungarian word for "in holography". Holography is a scientific method that enables the recording and subsequent reconstruction of a light field, thereby creating a three-dimensional image. Unlike a traditional photograph, which captures a single perspective, a hologram records the intensity and phase of light waves scattered from an object. This recording is typically made on a photographic plate or film.

The process involves splitting a laser beam into two. One beam, the reference beam, is directed onto the recording medium without interacting with an object. The second beam, the object beam, illuminates the object to be holographically recorded, and the light scattered from the object then strikes the recording medium. The interference pattern between the reference beam and the object beam is captured on the medium, forming the hologram.

When light of the same wavelength as the reference beam is shone through the developed hologram, it reconstructs the original light field. This allows an observer to see a three-dimensional image of the object, which appears to float in space. The viewer can move their head and see different perspectives of the object, just as they would if the real object were present.

Holographic technology has applications in various fields, including data storage, security features (like those found on credit cards and banknotes), microscopy, and artistic displays. Research continues to advance holographic techniques, aiming for higher resolution, full-color reconstruction, and more dynamic and interactive holographic systems.
