Besparelserne, also known as the Sparring Partners, were a group of Danish resistance fighters during World War II. They were part of the Danish resistance movement, which aimed to overthrow the German occupation of Denmark. The group was named after their leader, Hans Christian Besparel, who was a prominent Danish journalist and resistance fighter.
The Besparelserne were known for their daring and effective sabotage operations against the German occupation forces.
The group was also involved in the rescue and hiding of Danish Jews and other persecuted groups
