Zhydachiv
Zhydachiv is a city located in the Lviv Oblast of western Ukraine. Situated on the banks of the Stryi River, it is the administrative center of the Zhydachiv Raion. The city has a history dating back to at least the 14th century, and its name is believed to derive from the Old Slavic word "zhyda" meaning "desire" or "longing." Throughout its history, Zhydachiv has been part of various states, including the Kingdom of Poland and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, before becoming part of Ukraine.
